If this is the wrong place to post this please let me know and delete.

Looking to purchase a 2012 Corvette near Litchfield, NH. Would appreciate someone to take a quick look before I finalize the purchase - not an in-depth inspection/report, just a quick look/drive to verify condition. Would be happy to compensate for your time and travel. Thanks in advance for any help. Kent - 913-515-0131 or kent@schoneman.net

Rich Mozzetta also has a place in NH for the summer, not sure if he's gone back to FL yet though...

Great! Glad it worked out with Harry.

Kent, If it's auto trans I wonder if the owner had any issues with the shift interlock system or shifter cable/bushings. Curious if and when it was ever serviced for these areas.

Many C6' s, correction....ALL C6's with AT have or will have issues in these design flaws. Shifter interlock solenoid fails not allowing shift from Park. Then the plastic cable bushings deteriorate due to heat stress. Not fun when you get stranded.

IMO this is the weakest link of the C6 w/AT. But, I do love my '07 Coupe.

I can attest to the fact that I've had both of those problems with my 06, which I have had for 13 years. It now has 40,000 miles on it.

The shift cable broke in my garage, luckily. So, I called some friends over. We jacked up the car and put it in Neutral flipping the lever under the car. Rolled it out on the driveway. I called my local Chevy dealer, Love Chevrolet, who sponsor my Corvette Club. They offered to rollback it in. I told them I'd drive it over, BUT, I'd be coming in "hot" and once it was parked, that's where it was going to remain. The service manager said he'd be looking for me. Jacked the car up again, started it in Neutral, then popped the lever into Drive. I drove about 15 miles to the dealership. I saw the service manger waving his arms when I pulled it. He told me where to park it. It was fixed the next day.

My "park solenoid" started acting up not long after I bought the car. IIRC, the "cure" was to replace the entire shifter mechanism with one from an 08 or newer car. I opted for the cheap "Corvette Forum" fix. I raised the console, identified the park "lever", and cut the hook off with a Dremel tool. It doesn't lock in Park anymore, but it works for me, and has been like that for many years. I have no plans to fix it. IIRC, a new shifter mechanism back then was over $800.00..

I looked at the 2012 for Kent. A very nice car. No engine codes. All the Ops I tested worked. Paint, wheels and tires in excellent condition. I think Kent cooked a deal after I left.
