I'm in the process of installing a 45-year-old over the counter N11 exhaust system on my 1967 L79 coupe. I'm not sure of the brand of exhaust system that was on the car when I bought it, but it appears to be a nice steel reproduction system. I thought I may be wasting my time and money putting this GM system on the car, but I've had it for years and this car is perfect candidate for an original N11 system.
With the driver's side installed yesterday, you can certainly see the big difference between the aftermarket system and GM system. The GM system sure does snug up nicely and looks very streamlined. I'm excited to hear the difference as the system on the car is not an N11 version.
