'54 Steering Wheel

I'm removing the steering wheel and using the ST12 service guide and it states to pry out the horn button. I have a ring but it should be the same and it will not pry out. Is there any other tricks I can try? The ring is lose and the horn works but will not come off. Help needed. Thanks.

Pry out the center plastic ornament carefully, and you will see retainers behind it. 56-62 you pop off the horn button.
