Current Thinking on C2 Hardtop Deck Lid Protector

Need some current input on
66 Hardtop Deck Lid Protector (Applies To All C2's)

Have 66 Convertible and want some "Deck Lid" Protection when Hardtop is on. Have bought and
applied the Clear Plastic Film we see in all the Vendor Catalogs. Having trouble getting all the air
bubbles out even when water is applied. Do we just have to live with this or is there something I'm
missing here? Is there any other product out there that would be better then this Plastic Film?

get the whole deck lid covered in Xpel or other brand of clear paint protection film

Hi Larry! I watched a shop that does window tints do a '65 Nassau Blue car with the protector I believe you are talking about. The tech used the same method they used on windows, a mist bottle with water and a squeeze. He said with any coatings, window film, these deck protectors, etc if they are really hard to adjust or get bubbles and wrinkles out they use a little dish soap in the water. It came out very nice.
