        Valeria,
Was / is it a Saddle Tan auto coupe? a/c?
I've never seen this car but have listed it with 'info only', which I have never been able to verify.

It was a split window coupe. Fully loaded. I am not certain of the color. 000001 & 00002 were internal orders from GM. Because of this the orders lacked shipping details.

The Fall 1980 issue of the Restorer (Volume 7 number 3) has an interesting article on '63 number 000003. A convertible in the hands of a private owner. Had several odd quirks that didn't show up on later cars.

Interesting, that car is still listed on the C2 registry. One and two are missing from the registry.

Valeria, NCRS Member Larry Galloway's book "Corvette C2: The Model Year That Launched the Corvette into History" has a bit of info on 308X7S00001 and 00002.

                      Valeria,

to add to Thomas' comment about Larry Galloway's book - if you don't have it, you should get it and read it.
It has LOTS of info on '63s and Larry was there at the plant (and Ionia, MI) from Aug '62 thru sometime in '67.
I'm sure it would be helpful while writing your article.

His chart on page 108 shows the data he has (or is missing) for the first 23 VINs
last one on the Table is 30837S100023 BBD Aug 27, 1962

I was amazed to learn the rear script holes were "eyeballed and hand-drilled on very early cars"...WHATTT ?
                      page 63 shows a picture drilling thru a freshly-painted car...WHATTTT ?
hard to believe for such a visible item they would not have at least had a template ! tooling was later designed to index the holes
                      thx,
                      Mark
