    Power Antenna Restorers

Need 1966 power antenna restored. Greg Thompson is no longer providing this service, does anyone know of any others that do?

Just got a guy to do my Grand National unit (same stuff), so try him, good rep.

The biggest problem with doing it yourself, which I prefer, is getting parts. Lots of them are just not around.

        Gary,
You will need to discuss that with them.

When doing my antenna it was more of a parts problem then anything else. So somebody who has been doing these may still have correct parts.
Remember to save your old parts, such as the tip - those may be able to be restored or used to make your unit almost perfect.

There wasn't anyone close to the work Greg did and ten years ago he was the only one.

The tip, the mast, the cable are all critical items what reason did he give?

p.s it wasn't that long ago I talked to him, there was a move from south greater KC a few years back, didn't seem that was a factor.

I also would like to have my power antenna restored for my '65. After reading this thread today; I sent Tim a message if he could restore my antenna and he said that he couldn't.

Gary I broke one years ago when I used my brand new lift. Yep I left it up. I just bought a 65 with a fixed mast. The antenna that Greg just restored for me may be the one I broke.

I just picked up a set of exhaust clamps from Greg in late July. I asked him about the PA resto's. He said the lack of good cores and the parts avail caused him to cease the refurb business.

I just noticed a restored one on eBay listed at $1,000. Supply and demand.
