    1971 Ontario Orange Lacquer Paint

I know that this is a "shot in the dark" but I'm looking to find "some" Ontario Orange Lacquer paint,
GM Code: 97 and Fisher Code: WA-4149, to "touch up" a few minor scratches and stones chips on my originally owned
'71 LT1 Corvette, which has never ever been repainted.

Would anyone have "some" that they're willing to "part with?"
Or, know of someone that does?
If so, please e-mail me at: raykrawczyk@hotmail.com

        For touching up lacquer-
The toners and color tints available today will tint and tone lacquer. It's the binders and body of the paint which is different.

I have my local jobber mix what ever I want for color and tell them to leave out the binders and other components which make it "base coat or enamel single stage"
If you ask for a PINT MIX - there will be less than 2 oz of ACTUAL COLOR in the can. Combine with a pint of lacquer clear coat thin accordingly.
IF you buy ready to spray Lacquer clear coat then add your pint mix to a QUART of ready to spray lacquer clear.

When I told my jobber what I was going to do he said.... I had never thought of that, you shouldn't have any issues with it, however AXALTA will not give any warranty on the performance or durability.
Many years on many lacquer touch ups with ZERO issues using this process, including Corvettes judged at the national level.

              Patrick,
I can get this brand through Finish Masters,
5707 Slow Dry Acrylic Lacquer Thinner is a high quality, low cost thinner designed for automotive industry application and uses.

I don't remember what it cost, but they have it in quarts to 5 gallons and in Slow Med Fast.

In MD you will probably be ok with just the slower thinner and not need a retarder, During the summers in South Carolina we need everthing we can get to slow the paint from drying too quickly.
