Any 67-69 L89 corvette owners out there? If so check out the L89 registry here: https://survivor1969corvette.wixsite.com/l89registryThis registry tracks 1967-1969 factory built L89's and dates back to 1980 with data from surveys, trim tags, engine stampings and documentation. You can scroll down the page to add your car to the registry and also send me a pm about your car as I might have history on your car. Thanks for your support!

Re: Any 1967-1969 L89 owners out there? Check out the L89 Registry
Patrick, if you go the the registry page and scroll down you can add a car through the online form. The data goes back to 1980 so I have a lot of cars and data in the database. At this time I do not post cars that are registered to a public site. There are a few reasons for this. 1. To avoid giving data around engine stampings, paperwork etc that would aid someone in creating a fake car or documentation 2. There are cars that started with a CE block for example and now have an "original motor". By posting the data it creates a sticky situation around litigation etc.
When the data is entered through the google form the owner of the car will be notified that it has been entered. Then the data goes into a spreadsheet and the cells are populated for the appropriate options, colors, documentation, awards etc that enable me to tally, sort and view the data across all the cars entered. At some future point I will be sending out a report to those that have entered their cars. It will give general data points and stats on the cars in the registry. The whole goal of this registry is to identify as many original L89 cars as possible, identify production trends and help current L89 owners find past history on their cars. One thing to note is that just because someone enters their car into the registry doesn't mean that it left the factory as an L89. I have fields in the form that capture pictures of the engine stamp pad, trim tag, tank sticker, pop etc. Once I receive the info the car and components are tagged in the database as OEM, Non OEM, Missing, Fake etc. I hope this helps!- Top

Re: Any 1967-1969 L89 owners out there? Check out the L89 Registry
Mark, there are a number of NCRS members that have surveys/registry's that members participate in, this is nothing new. Another long time member started the L89 survey/registry in 1980. I am carrying the torch forward and merged his survey data with mine. Since taking over the registry I have added 37 L89's and put all of the manual survey's into Google so the data can be more useful and searchable. When I get too old to work on this project it will be passed down to my son. Jim Wallace has the LS6 survey, Drew Papsun has been tracking L88 cars as well as other cars such as L89's and LT1's in his database. The intention of all of these endeavors is to document these cars as much as possible so we have a historical reference of how these cars were produced and how many of these limited production cars still exist. If you have an L89 I would love to hear about it!- Top

Currently the site is used for people to access the form and submit their information. In the future I will be sharing general survey results and data regarding L89's on that site.- Top

Joe,
Thanks for the kind words. I have a passion for these cars and their history. I updated the form to include the 3:70 rear axle option and will update your car in the database. Can't wait to see your L89 done, it's a special car with a super cool history!
