C1 58 Gas Door Assembly Hinge Pin

I have both parts of the gas door assembly (the door and the hinge). Is there a pin of some sort that is used to connect the two parts together? I am having trouble figuring out how the 2 parts are supposed to work together without a pin for the hinge.

I don't see a hinge pin for sale anywhere and was wondering what others have used as a pin to keep the hinge together.

Jason, look on Ebay for 58 gas door, Corvette Central has a new one and good pictures of hinge side, looks like it's spot welded on,
or is it where the rod slides through? Might be a simple Home Depot bulk rod, Dan'

As Dan noted just get some rod/wire and insert through the two pieces.

OK thanks. I will look for some rod/wire at Home Depot.
