How Many Different Interior Side Panels(Below Radio) where there for C2's? (1966)

We know for sure there where 2 different Driver Side panels varified by the Judging Manual For
1966's. Do not know if this applies for the 1965 and 1967 models. If radio was not ordered there
was no provisions for the radio antenna switch. But here is the kicker:

I have seen some Corvettes with the C48 (Heater Delete) option that the side panel did not extend
as far back as the above two do. I have seen these cars on the Bloomington Gold and NCRS
judging fields. So where there (3) different types of side panels? Has anybody else seen this??
    Please Comment and thanks>Larry

if its not called out in the AIM then there would have been only two. and without looking at the U69 section to verify you sure the line worker did not make the holes for the antenna switch from the "base" side panel?

Keith: We DO know that the AIM/Judging Manual can be wrong in certain cases. AFA the C48
option goes for the 1966 not much detail is given for this super rare option. Larry

Since I never worked on or judged a C48 car I really can't comment on the AIM being wrong. Does the parts book reflect your findings?

Keith: Thanks for your comments. I doubt if it is even mentioned in the Parts Book due to the rarity. Very similar to the
colored plugs that where put in below the clock. No one ever figured out who painted these IIRC. Larry

Here is a picture I took off the internet. Perhaps it was a optical illusion on my
part (compare the top two)as suggested by another member of this board. I'll see if I can find more
            pictures. Larry

FWIW>Hope I am not beating this subject like a dead horse. Got some measurements for a 66 Driver Side Panel. Length starting
from around the #224 flasher(a little bit towards the firewall) to the end of panel(towards the shifter) is
around 9:1/2 inches. Percent of opening covered from firewall to where panel ends(by shifter) is around
55 to 60%, So I'm seeing around 45% or so not covered. CAN SOMEONE MEASURE A 64 TO 66 WITH
A RADIO and HEATER AND GET ME A COMPARISON?? I have my radio 66 Coupe already stored in a Omni bag so
can not get to it to measure. Thanks again>Larry
