Greetings--
I respectfully, (and hopefully), request that a member can provide an interior photo, (or photos), of the left rear (driver's side) interior carpeted corner of a 2009 Corvette C6 Coupe, where a emergency release cable for the rear window/hatch is located.
Background/reason: On Friday, 14 July 2023, my daughter and her cat, (in a pet carrier), became locked, (trapped), in her 2009 Corvette C6 Coupe when a dual failure of her vehicle remote and the vehicle battery occurred. Before her mother and I could respond and assist her, she had already attempted to "pull" two (2) wires located in the carpeted left hand rear interior corner of her car, in an attempt to extricate herself and the cat. Her mother and I were subsequently able to open the coupe rear window/hatch with the aid of the releasable key in the spare remote (which also had a dead battery); have our daughter hand us the vehicle owner's manual; and re-read the sections relating to emergency door opening, and emergency rear window/hatch release. The owner's manual implied that there should be a release handle for the rear window/hatch which I could not see or find. What I did observe were two separate, thin, solid wires, that were not connected; and one having an end that had attached at the free end, something resembling electrical contacts. I have no idea what the two wires are; nor what the emergency rear window/hatch handle looks like.
I have not driven this car for over six years; and when I gave it to my daughter at that time, I thought we had covered how to open both the doors, and the rear window/hatch when there was an electrical failure. However, it was patently obvious that neither of us remembered how.
Thank you in advance, for any and all assistance with regard to this matter!!
