From the looks of your picture you are working indoors. Be VERY CAREFUL of the fumes from acetone. They are highly flammable and a pilot light from a heater or water heater will set them off. You don't want to experience the results and neither does your fiberglass car.

      Hi Terry,
When using acetone, BrakLeen, alcohol, spray paint and other flammable liquids and aerosols, I am pretty safety conservative....but of course you can never be too safe. I have fresh air by cracking multiple windows open a little when I am using combustible liquids and aerosols. Garage has split system heat, AC, and dehumidification. I have a full-face chemical respirator and canisters rated for chemical fumes and paint that are dated and changed. I also use chemical rated gloves. AC or heat from the split system in the garage, along with floor fans, keeps the environment pretty nice for me to work in. I take a lot of breaks due to my age, flexibility, and I'm retired so there is really no hurry. Frequent breaks helps to keep the fumes from accumulating and I typically cycle my garage door open / close for a minute or two when I stop for rest breaks just to clear the air and knock the fumes down. There is a LP gas tankless water heater located in the attic of my Man Cave so no pilot light in my work space.

Great to hear from you and thank you for the safety reminder.

I am glad you are that safety conscious. My post was as much for those reading this thread in the future as it was for you. Your post will also give them some ideas pf the means to keep themselves and their car safe. Flammable liquids are nothing to fool around with.

A friends comercoal shop burned to the ground as he was working on a fuel leak with the car on the lifft and the trouble light feel and the gasoline vapors ignited as the light broke. . The building and the cars in it were a total loss. Most of the building contents were a loss as well.
