    59 Brake Shoes

I have to replace my rear brake shoes since the drivers side shoes are cracked ( maybe heat related). The drums are fine and there is no scoring as they were turn several years ago. I have a set of brake shoes I bought years ago with a GM #1154134 Grp 5.017 on the box. What does this fit? I think they were sold as C-1 front brakes so I bought them anticipating that one day I would need them. My parts book isn't that old and it doesn't show this #

GM #1154134 was a set of non-metallic front brake shoes applicable to 1953-64 Corvettes with non HD brakes. It replaced GM #3840163 in April, 1981 and was discontinued without supercession in November, 1988. So, it was the last available brake shoe set available from GM for most C1 as well as early C2 Corvettes. It also had many other applications for drum brake GM vehicles of the period.

Thanks Joe. Once I get the rear brake issue resolved, I'll probably do the fronts as well.
