C2 - 1966 Roadster - Guidance Sought; Sticky Hood and Soft Top Part

NCRS Friends: I need some guidance on the following two issues if possible: (1) I put some white lithium grease in the 2 prongs of my hood release and now I can't get the hood to close completely. It will not catch. Should I clean it out or do I need an adjustment? (2) The rubber weather stripping (at the hinge point of the convertible frame) has a rubber piece that was designed to cup & protect the metal hinge from rubbing against the rear deck. Mine was installed incorrectly and is mangled. Who is a good aftermarket supplier for a new one? Any guidance appreciated. Many thanks and a happy 4th of July to all. Best regards, Ned

I would say the grease would not keep the latch from working properly/ and corvette rubber is the go to vendor for corvette rubber products/ hope this helps / Jeff
