    Repo brake boosters

    Will the new repo brake boosters that everyone is selling pass Top Flight judging without deducts? They are touting "exact" reproduction. looking at a 5867 with correct date. Originals are getting hard to find. Any judges that will "weigh in"?
    Thanks.

    Re: Repo brake boosters

    I cant comment on the reproduced booster other than I hope its not chineasuim. I wouldn't do that to our USA made old iron cars.

    Always restore old parts when possible. Nothing better than good ole USA parts.

    Someone has to have a good core.

    Try Dave Sokolowski for a core.

    Send your core to Mike Gibbons for a top notch restoration. He does master cylinders too. Lone Star Caliper does a great job on masters as well.
    Both may have a correct core in stock.

    <edit the anodizing looks even better in person the pic doesnt do it justice. Ill update with a better pic>
    <the booster & master are on my 68 442 with disc brakes>
