    1969 Brass/Copper Radiator Upper Hose

    I have a 1969 L46 convertible (October 1969 Build) and wanted to check on the correct Upper Radiator Hose. I have attached 2 photos. One is installed on the car now and the other is available for use. Is either one correct ? If not can someone post a picture of an original hose with proper part numbers ? Thanks for any help.

          Hi Steve, When I first viewed your post the pictures did not appear. After I made my post your pictures popped up. You have the correct number hose. The one with the white stripe has more of the alligator skin look like the originals had.

                  I have the same set up and my hose has 368685 . I have the original lower hose and I thought I checked the # on the upper a couple years ago and thought that was good . What do I have , obviously not original

                      The original GM #3946852 was discontinued in July, 1980 and replaced by the GM #368685. The 368685 was used in PRODUCTION for early 1976 Corvettes. It has now been discontinued by GM.

                      How the 3946852 and 368685 differ I do not know. However, the fact that the 368685 superceded the 3946852 indicates that it will SERVICE your application.

                              The one you pictured with the white stripe under the part number installed on your car is exactly like the one on my 71 LT1 survivor.
