    which spare tire carrier bolt is correct for Sept '69 build?

    Guys,

    I have two types of spare tire bolts in my bolt collection. See the attached pic. Which is correct for a Sept '69 build? My quick online search seems to indicate the shorter one on the right but wanted to check.

          late Oct 1969 L46 350/350, M21 4spd, 3.70 posi convertible --As with life, restoration is a journey, not a destination. Though restored cars provide both journeys AND destinations!

              The bolt on the left is the spare tire LOCK bolt. The bolt on the right is the spare tire strap bolt and 2 are required per car. So, both are correct depending on the position.

              By the way, there were 3 different latch bolts used over the C3 period. However, the one pictured appears to be a GM #3933819 which is correct for a 1968-74.

                  AFAIK...FWIW...finish of those in the picture is not correct??
