C1 Brake Backing Plates

I am working on restoring a 58 Corvette that my father purchased as a project some 50 years ago. I am not able to find the drum brake backing plates in his pile of parts . I also see that Corvette Central has discontinued selling them.

From my research it looks like there is a different backing plate for the left and right rear drum brakes and a different one for the from brakes.

I saw on another forum where a user said that the backing plates are the same for all GM 1955-1958 passenger cars.

I know that I could just go the disk crake upgrade route but I was trying to keep everything as much as stock as I can and keep the price down.

Anyone know of a place, besides eBay, that sells the drum brake backing plates?

The FRONT brake backing plates for all 1953-62 Corvettes except HD brakes were the same as 1951-54 passenger car. The same plates were used for both left and right sides and were GM #3694865. These were discontinued without supercession in January, 1973.

The REAR brake backing plates were side-specific. The left side for all 1953-62 Corvettes except HD brakes was GM #3708841 and was the same as 1955-58 passenger car. The right side for 1953-62 Corvettes except HD brakes was GM #3708842 and was the same as 1955-58 passenger cars. The 3708841 was discontinued without supercession in December, 1971 and the 3708842 was discontinued without supercession in July, 1971.
