C3 Rear Underbody Mount Reinforcement Securement

I am in the process of renewing the rear underbody mount reinforcements on my 1971 body. The reinforcements rivet to the car body with aluminum rivets. All seem to be good except I see no way to rivet the rear facing flange of the reinforcement without drilling a hole in the fiberglass cover (pictured).

Of course I would rather not damage the body, so possibly someone has another method of securing the rear flange to the car body.

Those mounts were installed prior to that covering fiberglass.

I used a long drill bit and punched through a small hole in that back glass - inside to outside

Used that hole to locate larger (about 1”) hole saw - providing access.

Save removed piece to glass back in. A little mud and ……

Consider a SS cap screw with nylon lock nut and SS fender washers instead of trying to buck a rivet. Once glassed up, only you and I will know.
