On C2 starters there are three sets of information The first is the part number then the manufactured date code. The third set of letter / number are at the bottom. Example 1 A or 3 A, etc. Anyone know what this last set of numbers represents? Maybe a mold number and shift? Thanks.

Re: C2 Starter Letter and number stamps at bottom
Leif, I see the 320 starters with and without the number and letter I am researching. I know the 320 was used on other GM cars, so could there be some significance to number / letter versus no number/ letter?Garry Barnes #18531

The '67 jg states that the "additional numbers below the Delco -Remy logo identify the production line and shift. I does beg the question why some have this information and some do not.Garry Barnes #18531
