Re: 1967 Paint Question
Per John Hinckley's C2 Assembly Process Presentation (available in the Database of Restoration Documents [DoRD] Sticky Post), he said...
"All paint materials (primer, sealer, topcoat, thinners and blackout) were supplied by DuPont; they were the single largest GM stockholder at the time."
Dunno if he specifically meant that applied to the Dow-Smith paint shop as well or not, but my guess is "probably", because of QA/QC issues and potential customer complaints.
That being said, in addition to Dave's link, the Summer 1989 version of the Corvette Specification Guide lists "Refinishing" Paint codes for Lynndale as follows:
DuPont........................4833-L
R-M (Rinshed-Mason)... A-1912
and
PPG.............................DDL 13348 (Obsolete per https://us.ppgrefinish.com/PPG-Refin...racryl-Acrylic )thx,
