C4 Rear window support struts

Hi All
I recently purchased a '92 coupe and had it flight judged at the Lakeland regional show, a couple of members told me that there are resources to rebuild the rear hatch lift struts, to maintain the originality and pass PV. Unfortunately the couple of people I spoke with didn't have any names of contact info for the lift strut rebuilding services.
Does anyone know who offers C4 rear strut rebuilding services?

Bought a pair of Stabilus SG130005-084 1984-1996 rear hatch lift supports from e-bay.

They exactly matched the ones on my 30k mile 1992. AFAIK they'd never been replaced.

you get your own, correctly dated, struts back. They got me through PV on my 1992.
Fast and reasonably priced.

Soooo sorry about your '92 problems. Glad you got'er all fixed up.

Will have to look at my original Stabilus struts again to see if I can spot that Julian date.

FWIW, us C1 guys have Julian dates on rear springs.

The attached photo is from my 1992 passenger side rear strut showing the part number and date code. The Julian date of 161 translates to June 9, 1992 which is correct for a June build date. The part number on the driver side ends in 975, All in blue ink including the manufacturer Stabilus. I hope this helps you find the codes.1992 Rear Strut.jpg

Thanks for the photo. Rechecked & there's no GM part no. nor Julian date code on the Stabilus hatch struts.

No wonder I couldn't find the date code. LOL

Yes, it is hard to find something that doesn't exist Perhaps the blue ink got "cleaned off" by a previous owner.
