    65 SB cold fast idle

Preparing my 65 327/365 hp for an operations test. Start up idle with choke closed results in 800 rpm. Need to get it to idle at 1200 rpm. Holley list 4150 list 2515.. How is this adjusted?

Sounds like your fast idle cam is not engaging on start up. Idle on cold start up will, typically, be higher than 1200 RPM...somewhere in the 1500-1800 RPM range if the fast idle cam is correctly set up.
At the 1:19 minute of this video there is a pretty cool explanation as to how to set the fast idle cam...in one setting.

The procedure to adjust the 327/365 fast idle is in the 1965 Corvette Shop Manual Supplement. Do you have one?

Also, understand that you set the fast idle to the specified speed when the engine is fully warmed up. Then on a cold start the fast idle will initially stabilize at about 200-300 revs lower.

For example, on my SWC's 340 HP engine the specified "hot" fast idle is 1750, and on a cold start it initially stabilizes within a few seconds at 1500.

My '65 with L79 fast idle is set at 1800 and then once warmed up will drop to 750 to 800 rpm once the throttle is bumped. Takes a time or two to get it right.

The NCRS PV and OPS manual specify 1200 rpm. I plan to set the cold fast idle screw/cam at this speed.

'65 shop manual has idle 750-850 (engine tune chart) and fast idle 22-2,300 rpm (specifications). My '65 L76 seems to run well with these settings.
