Luby must have been a nationwide dealership, one of my '64 fuelies was delivered there, but it was in Denver, Colorado. Neat picture!Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: New 1971 Corvettes Luby Chevrolet Boston Mass.
Luby Chevrolet was located in downtown Denver it seems to me at the corner of 14th st and Lawrence st. Owner was " Papa Joe Luby ".
This is the 1950 to mid 1960 time frame. Can not say that they were related to the other Luby dealers but is possible. Other Denver area dealers were Burt Chev; Murphy Mahoney Chev; Davidson Chev; Viner Chev; Capitol Chev; Day Chev; Red White Chev; Steve Frederick; Craig Chev; George Irvin Chev.

Here's a Luby Warranty Plate with the dealer address from a '66 I owned. The first owner was vacationing in Denver and bought the car and licensed it in California. Oddly enough, the car did not have the required smog pump for California.- Top

Chester Luby owned the Boston location he was the son of Sam Luby the founder. I remember once a year he would come to visit the dealership we all had notice he was coming the place had to look it's best and we all had to put on clean uniforms for his visit.Last edited by Ralph S.; April 20, 2023, 06:31 PM.- Top

Re: New 1971 Corvettes Luby Chevrolet Boston Mass.
So it seems that all the dealerships had a strong connection to the Luby family. Not sure about New York but the others were all owned by the family. Thanks for clearing that up Ralph.- Top
