Testing a Fuel Sending Unit

Need some guidance on how to bench test an original AC Fuel Sending Unit. I have 12 volts and a muiltmeter. I was told the unit worked when removed but obviously need to verify tht.
Any help is appreciated.

Here's a few pics of my testing of a 67 fuel sending unit with a ohm meter:

Tank full near 90 ohms
