Recently purchased a hood top panel 67 big block hood and started looking for a lower frame. Found a new one online at "corvette image". Was wondering if anyone has ever done this and what the results were? Thanks. Fred Miller

Re: 67 big block hood
I have done it a couple of times. You will need to attach and adjust the frame to your auto and get it lined up and functioning properly. Then prep the adjoining upper skin and hood frame to accept the bonding adhesive. Check for proper height and shim as needed. Protect the body from adhesive squeezing out by applying masking paper or card board around the perimeter. Apply the ( I use Vette Panel Adhesive) bonding material and put weight on the hood over night or a day or two. Block sand the edges of the hood to get square and prime and paint. If you screw up you can always do it over. It is like working on a big model car. It's a good life!
