If there is nothing in the Standard deductions, then at least 20% on the Configuration part of CDCIF on any tire with the BLEM.

Tires are a Standard Deduct item. You can't use CDCIF on these.

The judges would have to figure out what section of the Standard Deduct table applies to these tires.

I just went through the Standard Deductions on tires and Joe is correct as usual. I believe the judges would select the second Deduction of 20% per tire due to the BLEM mark on the tire.

Just a thought. Aren't cars judged in an "as delivered from factory"? No car would ever be delivered with "BLEM" tires.

Ralph, If it's one tire, it's 1.2 points or rounded down a one point deduction.

Tires are worth 30 points. For 5, it's a 6 point deduction. If the car is excellent, don't sweat the 6.

I would think a Tire marked BLEM would be a Full Deduct.

Just a thought. Aren't cars judged in an "as delivered from factory"? No car would ever be delivered with "BLEM" tires.

"Full Deduct"? Based on what?

Tires are judged by Standard Deduction Guideline #3.

Brian, I think if you read the 20% deduct section, that should check all the boxes for the blem sidewall issue.
