    '65 Corvette Windshield

Have a '65 Corvette and am hoping someone might have recent experience in stopping leaks on newly replaced a windshield.
Bought a new windshield from one of the companies supplying said equipment. Installed the new windshield along with new gaskets, etc. Washed my vette after everything completed and discovered several significant leaks.

Am currently pulling everything out and found the passenger side of the windshield was a little more than a quarter (1/4") inch shorter than the previous windshield (original equip).

Has anyone recent experience in replacing one and does anyone know of a video showing how to address issues and install.
Had a friend with more than 20 years experience install the windshield. Several "friends" have told us we should expect issues with all of the glass being replaced (100%).

    Have read all relative threads.

Thank you in advance for suggestions.

FWIW, what is DOT code of ACTUAL glass manufacturer?

Manufacturer’s DOT code is required by law to be on glass. Actual manufacturer may provide clue as to glass quality.

      Lawrence,

My experience is not recent, but I did my '67 and one other car decades ago...

This video is not for a Corvette, but it is really good IMO...I think our Corvettes are easier to do than this Chevy pickup (fewer sharp curves). It is a messy and difficult job - particularly if you don't want to screw up your dash !

      Good luck !

      thx,
      Mark
