    Battery disconnect and C-7s

Any suggestions on how to preserve all electronic functions if indoor judging facility requires that you disconnect the battery per the local fire marshal? Doing some Sportsman entries in the future at indoor events. Checked out Battery Memory Saver option. These rely on 9 volt batteries with a 2 hr max life. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for replies.

I've never used one if these, but it's designed for your intended use. I'm not clear why hooking this up is safer than using the car's battery, but the vendor claims it's fire marshall friendly.

Thanks Mark. A little too costly for me. I'm curious what C/5 thru C/8 owners are doing for judging events that are completely in doors and over night to meet the Fire Marshal disconnect requirement.

I just have not disconnected my c8 battery when I have had it inside. I didn't do the c7 either. C8 is a bit easier to disconnect as you can get to the battery in the frunk than in the c7 at the back. If FM is going to be real picky on disconnect, I just will not put my car inside. So far has not been a problem.

          +1

Why I don't put my car inside - just avoid the problem.

p.s. Situation with battery cut-offs in any case, regardless of year.

Bad: keep you from knowing you have a wiring problem.

Thanks for your reply Dave. As a usual Sportsman entry, most times, we are relegated to parking outside. So we'll see how things go in French Lick this summer.
