Do you have the last 5 digits of a VIN that you would like to share?
I have a list of 1969 TH400/M40 L88 Corvettes and I might be able to provide some information.- Top

The recent discussion of the so called first 69 ZL-1 showed that it was actually an automatic L88 with a December VIN, so the automatic L88s were available early in the 69 model year.- Top

This may be useless information, so to speak, but I have some 1969 Production Trends data that I've not seen in our Spec Guide before. The initial question sparked my interest to see what I had. It itemizes engine RPO usage for the M40.
Note that this only lists to end of September, not including Oct, Nov, Dec production, as the data was compiled only up to that point in Sept.
1969 M40 ECL data. Note only 15 built for L88(to Sept). There were 102 L88 cars built to that point as well.

Total L88 production was 115 according to the Spec Guide. Not sure where John A got that number. His Production Trends data was likely the entire Model Year Production.
Total L88 production was 102 up to September, according to the RPO data.
Attached below is the complete (to Sept) 1969 RPO list.

Thanks. I don't have that information. An ad on another forum for a '69 L88 engine peaked my interest. I will share your website with the seller. I am also sending you a Private Message.- Top
