Re: How rare is my Corvette?
I had been told that all '66 L72's were four speeds and none were automatic.
I did not include that info as I've also been told that no big block C2 Corvettes had automatic transmissions but I have seen a few so I can't be sure. I do not recall if they were L36, L72 or L79 and if my memory is correct, all were 1967s. Others have told me that one could order and get the automatic in a C2 big block although it was rare. A photograph of an owners specification sheet is attached - and it is a 1967.

The L79 is a small block and it, also, never came with an automatic transmission. L36 big block did but the L72 big block did not.Leif
