I am in the process of restoring wiper motor, I have several parts. There are two numbers to deal with , one on motor and the other on what I would call the body. I know the motor # is 5044731 and I have one of these with this # stamped on the bottom of can . It reads 5044731 assy. I do not see this on any of the other motors; my problem is this is attached to a body with 4918077 not the 4939300 .Is the 4918077 a acceptable # for a 69. On another note I have a nice set up where I have been testing the washer pump. I had purchased a reproduction washer pump set up and was able to fit my older off white pump body and ports onto it with the piston and ring from new inside the old. ( I have several pistons but the o ring is bad on all and they do not sell this part) My second problem is I have pretty ugly off white ports and piston showing. This is the same with my headlight /windshield switch , I got a nos switch but had to keep white ports because that is where the valve moves back and forth and makes the seal . I do nave the old yellowed parts but they leak when tested. I have heard the term Frankenstein used on this form and that is exactly what I have created. I need help and advice thanks

Re: 1969 wiper motor
I have 2-pretty original 69s here at the house, both late cars. Engines are out of both though, so easy to see. I can't find those numbers on either the bottom of the wiper motor or where the pump bolts too. I don't see any numbers. Age has consumed the decals, although, I don't see evidence of either car having a decal. So, I guess I can't answer your question.
Can you post a picture of the numbers? And the build date of the car.
On a more positive note, with the motor assembly installed, and all the Ignition shielding installed, it becomes pretty difficult to see the numbers. If it looks like a duck, smells like a duck, or quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. Not a cat?

Re: 1969 wiper motor
I do not know how to download pictures but the 5044731 # is on the bottom of the (can) that holds the motor . this number is the motor #according to the Corvette Restorer volume 46 # 4 spring 2020. The other # is on back of the mounting assembly the magazine lists the 4939300 as the number but does not mention 4918077 as an option. When I was looking at archives someone described the same motor and #s as mine. I will have to try lean how to download pics because I suck at explaining things sorry- Top

Re: 1969 wiper motor
Thank you. Both location are hard to see during "normal" judging. Ignition shielding in the way, as well as vacuum hoses, windshield washer hoses, and electrical wires.
My email is gbozz08@gmail.com
Curious of the cars build date. I suspect it's a late 69, because of the number on thee bottom of the pump motor....
Just gathering data, in case the 68-69 TIM&JG needs to be updated,

Re: 1969 wiper motor
It is a late august build . So I guess I could use either one they both are identical on outside and nobody can see the numbers, as far as the ports on actual pump and drip valve would you use ugly yellowed originals or the white repros( when I say ugly I just mean they have black staining on some and one is almost a brownish color) Tried cleaning but no luck- Top
