Thanks Don. After I posted the thread this a.m. I searched on line and found a few rebuilders and the Damper Dr. looked the best one on paper., so I sent an e-mail to them. Have their phone # for follow up on Monday.
      Thanks again, Donn

Hello Donn, I'm not going to besmirch any vendor that supports this hobby and I now regret saying that above. This vendor I'm sure has thousands of happy customers and many positive reviews on this board and that's why I went with them. Perhaps my balancer was an anomaly. Perhaps my rebuilt motor now makes too much power for the stock design (pushing 500 hp).

Regardless, I'm now going with an ATI brand damper with an SFI rating. There are other brands too with the SFI rating.

              Donn,
I had my original 1971 &LT1 rebuilt by Damper Doctor. John Wyss is very professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy.
He actually sent me videos of my balancer while rebuilding it and before he sent it back to me.
              His contact numbers are:

That's where I sent mine yesterday. Want to use original as crank is balanced.
                Thanks for the info..
