Page 165 of latest TIM&Jg says it had one. I find no evidence to corroborate that. Meaning...no vendors carry one nor show one in their schematics that I found. Even language on pg 166 says wiring connects to A/C without any other qualification..so maybe A/C cars had it but not non-A/C cars?

Re: Fast Idle Solenoid in non A/C 1969 L46??
I would be surprised if 1969 had an idle solenoid that activated with the AC... 1970 doesn't. What does the service manual show?
Edit: See recent thread about 1969 idle solenoid. Apparently cars with AC have one.Mark Edmondson

69 A/C cars did not nave a solenoid. My 69 small block has A/C and the original carb setup. Doesn't now-never did.

I can't speak to Jeff's comment but I want to apologize as my failed reading comprehension caused the confusion. The tim&jg clearly specifies AC cars only which mine is not. Sorry.***************

Re: Fast Idle Solenoid in non A/C 1969 L46??
Keith,
The tim&jg does say that L46 with A/C and 4 speed have the solenoid. Also non A/C cars with L71, L88, and L89 and auto transmission have it. Small block cars with auto trans.and non A/C did not. So your non A/C L46 did not have the solenoid. The sheet showing the solenoid has a delete note for M40 on Aug 22.
