Correct Finish for 1965 Rear Spring Bolts and Nuts

What is the correct finish for the rear spring bolts and castle nuts for a 1965 Corvette, plain finish or gray/black phosphate? I removed and cleaned what I believe to be the original bolts with "P" headmark and castle nuts and would like to return them to their original finish. See pictures after coming out of the EvapoRust cleaner.

    Thanks,

    James

    James,
I would, simply, spray those with some satin clear...they look great!! Originally, they had a black oil phosphate finish but that wore away fairly quickly.
