    locking differential

OK - I admit defeat. A few years ago I removed the rear differential (4:11) from my 66. When checking the lube, I noticed the snap ring missing from the side yoke. When apart, I noticed a piece from the spline part of the posi disc in the case. Here is my question, I cannot remember how I compressed the 2 plates and springs to go back between the spiders. Any input would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mel

You can make a jig , use a c-clamp, or channel lock.

What type of clutch did you use- solid, snowflakes, or fiber? solid are the best and they go down hill from there.

Or you can leave out the spring pack altogether and tune the posi.
