I took the rear blower out of my ‘65 coupe to fix the switch. Three of the 1/4-20 fasteners pictured above were holding it in. Now, when I go to put them back in, they go in a turn or so and seize. (Note that I turned them into a MAThread so they wouldn’t cross-thread during reassembly) So then I decided to run a tap into the holes to clean them up, and the tap also does not go. Oh oh. I’m wondering if whoever assembled this the last time use the wrong bolts and only ran them in until they stopped.
Does anyone have a sample of the bolt that normally holds in the blower (or know the size)?
Thanks,
