Drivers Side Front Park Light Not Working

I help a fellow member replace his turn signal cancelling cam yesturday on his 1965 Corvette. After the the replacement, we checked the functions of the turn signals, horn, headlights, brake lights, and park lights. Everything worked except the drivers side front park light. He has replaced the forward wiring haness and the both park lights assemblies.

What may be the cause of that park light not working, ground, bulb, or bulb to socket connection?

    Thanks,

    James

Check to see if power to that side of the harness.

Trade the left/right bulb to troubleshoot. 1157 has two filaments... maybe the bright one for the indicator is out. Also, the two contacts in the socket can be finicky. Clean and probe each to make sure they're getting and transferring power to the bulb. If not, troubleshoot upstream until you find it.

Bulkhead connector is another likely suspect. Let's just hope it's not something in the column... although that was disturbed during repair.

Before the turn signal cancelling cam was replaced yesterday, the left front park light would work but was very dim.

i dont believe the park lamp goes thru the turn signal switch, and its not a bad ground otherwise the lf. turn signal would not work , possible a bulb or socket problem

There's a 3 prong plug in the inner skirt area which powers those 2 lamps. Those are notorious for loosening, so I'd give that a re-push first.

And as a confirmation of John's advice, yes the signal lamp works but the park lamp is fed from a different wire, that's why he suggested checking power. The Park lamp circuit is the Purple wire. That's the one you want to verify. If ok there then go after the bulb socket.

Edit- And since the Pass side Park lamp works, the bulkhead connection is good. The Park lamp Purple wire junction is at the forward harness Driver side area, then goes over to the Pass side.
