    1963 Rear Valance Screws

I have attached pictures of the screws at the bottom end of the rear valance that hold the part that goes on the valance and accepts the bolt from the fender. These screws appear to be evenly spaced. My friend who also has a 63 has the same screws. I don't know if this was correct or just a coincidence between the two cars. Thoughts??? I now have attached a picture of the screw inside the valance. Based on what I see, it's not supposed to be there. Upon restoration, it'll be fixed.

    Thanks

Jerry, that is weird. Can you post a picture of the upper side?

Best guess, the bond came loose on the attached glass that allows bolting to the fender. The screw was a quick fix.

Maybe that's why they did away with it in 64-67.

Harry has correct answer. Most likely a quick fix for loose panel. '63 AIM pic shows no screws. Here is pic of my unmolested rear panel. BruceIMG_1142.jpg

Thanks for the feedback. I guess it was just a coincidence that my friend's 63 has the same screw setup.
