Amazon Smile to be discontinued

I received a notice today that Amazon will no longer have Amazon Smile available for charitable donations like the NCRS Foundation which has benefited from it in the past. This will occur on Feb. 20, 2023, so if you want to make purchases and benefit the NCRS Foundation's scholarship efforts, that is the last day.

Indeed, I was quite disappointed to receive the same notice yesterday.
For those that have never setup/used AmazonSmile in the past, itz very easy.

I too received that email, but it struck me as spam. I can't tell you what set that alarm off specifically so maybe I am too suspicious. There seemed to be a lack of marketing material in the message is all I can point to now. I wonder if anyone has had any communication other than that email?

CNN, FoxNews, CBS all have stories about the discontinuation of Amazon Smile. The emails we got are legit.

And another member contacted me off the board with similar confirmation. It seems there is ample evidence to refute my suspicions. It does surprise me that Amazon didn't include more graphic references to their other shopping but I guess I fail Marketing 101. Back to school I go.
