I was born and raised in Detroit for crying out loud. Only ICE for me. I can confidently state that I'll die before I'm forced to drive a coal powered car.

Sorry guys but I love it. If I didn't already have a C-8 HTC I'd buy one in a heart beat. Gotta quit living in the past.

EVs are the automotive equivalent to piston driven propeller aircraft and jet powered air craft. They are inevitable, and impossible to compete against them.

Well 10,000 people will plop down a deposit like we did with the Z 06 and they will be fed every excuse under the sun. Shortage of batteries , wheels , electric motors. Then the cars will appear in wealthy driveways and driving schools. Leaving the real corvette people bamboozeled again.

Does anybody know how much added weight to the car all this installed electric "stuff" is? We
all know that "Battery Weight" is "Dead Weight". Would like to see the shipping weight of the new Z06
vs. the new E-Ray. Just wondering>Larry

                          Larry,

Here's what one site is sayng...

So, just under 10% heavier and 1/2 second faster...
all I need now is a spare $100k

The E-Ray combines the 495-horsepower V8 from the regular Stingray with a 160-hp electric motor. The result is AWD and 0-60 in 2.5 seconds.

                          thx,
                          Mark

I think it's an awesome machine. Unfortunately I can only look and admire, not in my budget. I'd love to drive one on a track someday.

Jim’s posting gets my vote. I couldn’t have said it better. After owning three hybrids, and getting a Tesla Model Y this weekend, I’m a big fan of the hybrid and EV technology. For modern cars. I would not retrofit my ‘66!
