Question on securing the 69 jack with the spring and hook

    Guys,

I'm installing my restored jack but I don't quite understand how to attach the double bent "hook" and spring to the rear side of the jack. The only way it seems to work is as seen in my pic below. Is this correct? Thanks.

Yes, that is how it is done. Or one can use the other side of that peculiar dual hook if one wishes. It makes no difference. I am not sure how one would do otherwise.

There is a difference to the clearance in how the jack is installed -- laying on its side of rotated with the base down. The difference is in the clearance to the storage tray. There is a sticker on the underside of the storage box door that illustrates the proper orientation of the jack. Follow that illustration to avoid damage to the underside of the storage tray.
