My car is an original J50 power brake car. When I purchased it, the booster was removed, so today I installed the new power booster. My question is, on the interior firewall side, is there a rubber boot to install on the booster, like on the M/C, or is it left open. I search the archives, AIM, and service manual but find no mention or diagram of a rubber boot installed at that location. Gary

Re: 1967 power brake booster
Gary,
On a NON-power brake car there is a rubber push rod boot installed at the rear of the master cylinder. When power brakes (J50) were installed, there was no rubber boot between the master cylinder and power booster. However, there is a white plastic boot that installs on the rear of the power brake booster, sealing booster to cowl. See below...

Re: 1967 power brake booster
Gary,
The white plastic boot mounts on the rear of the booster to seal it against the firewall/cowl.Leif
