    Thanks Tony, great picture.
Do you recall if the cogged inserts were also on the carburetor side of the accelerator rod? I would assume so.

Tony, If that lever was never messed with we can get some more info from it. There is a big debate over the star washer under the ground straps. It looks like there is no star washer on that ground strap. I have never seen a star washer on any of the original cars I have witnessed. Nor have I seen any witness marks on the levers of other cars that weren't that original.

Hi Joe. I don't have an answer for that, except that it is an FI car so no carb. The engine had been pulled out long before I bought the car. Sorry I couldn't provide more insight. Good luck with your quest. Tony

Joe. I agree. Marco Hartner made that same point too. You both agree that no star washer was used with the ground strap attachment to the accelerator arm. Good catch! Tony

Yes, it was the bushing and Joe's comments that I wanted folks to see.

Oh I thought it was about the star washer. Sorry.

Here is a picture of the bushing installed on my original June built, 1963 FI car. Also, there is no tooth washer of any kind on the ground strap.

Thanks Gary. There may be some with star washers, but none of my restoration projects had star washers.

Gary---great insight. We are redoing the 66 TIM JG for Bill now. I'll forward that comment to the 66 Mechanical team.
