    Luggage stop

Is anyone familiar with a luggage stop? It is a piece of tin that fits right behind the seats and ahead of the jack well. Looks to be about 4" high. I found it in the CC catalog. My car does not have one. The interior I bought AK, the carpet that goes behind the seats around the drive shaft tunnel over the step and into the jack well to be trimmed is about is approx 8" to long. Just enough to install over a luggage stop. Should I buy and install a stop or just cut off the access?

that piece of tin is an important part of the structural integrity of your car. It should be there.. You might find some small change in panel gaps when you replace it.. The link below will lead to an older thread that discusses replacement of it, and includes some good photos..
    Good luck,
