    Re: 1967 427/390

Owen, I'm confused. My trans is dated P7E08 May 8,67. The rear end is 5/11/67, I have a E on my trim tag, E=May. A being January If your trim tag is J isn't that October?

Owen, Never mind, my trim tag is J22. Starting from August. I had to go out and double check. Gary

No worries! It's tough to remember the different dating patterns for all the dated things! I looked at the NCRS pocket guide before posting just to be sure I wasn't mistaken.

I wonder if the shipping report was mistyped by leaving the second digit off a date in the May high 20s range.

The last car built in May was #19747. Not really sure how many were built a day, but it seems likely that the 16th is correct. Gary
                Gary,
I read your comment so I checked the report. In fact it is incorrect. The production date is 5/22/1967. We will issue you a corrected SDR. Thank you.

Gary, Im a potential buyer of the headers. What is the Guldstrad piece on the rear end. Is that an Oil cooler in the next to last Pic. Is that a Teak steering wheel. Great find. Probably autocrossed instead of road raced because of the lack of safety equipment as in roll bar.
A bunch of our Chapters Officers meeting was spent talking about your new Corvette. Guess the rest of us just have to wait our
turn on finding one like this.

Gary, After reviewing the order for the SDR it shows another member made the purchase so the corrected copy must be sent to him. Sorry.
