    Judging Manual Addenda

I think I've seen Judging Manual addendums listed on the site somewhere, but I can't locate them.
I'm looking for any corrections and/or changes that were recorded after a Judging Manual was printed.
Specifically for '68-'69, how the tops on a two-top car are to be judged. Can you only present one of them? Do both tops have to be installed, but only one will be judged, etc. I believe the Judging Chairman, Ingham (?) made a clarification or change to that section sometime in 2021.
    Thanks,
    Rich K.

The two top / one top situation is dealt with in the Judging Reference Manual (JRM), not the TIM&JG. However, to the best of my recollection the details of that judging situation was updated even more recently that the latest JRM. I think it is to be found in one of the Judging Chairman's columns in The Restorer. If all that sounds complicated -- it is.

        Terry,
There was a Judging Chairman's column message in the Restorer some time ago regarding the tops, maybe a year, but, unfortunately, I don't save my Restorer magazines.
Maybe someone here has the magazine, or a better memory that I do lol.
        Thx

Flight Judging, Item 21, Vehicle Display for Judging, page 21 of the Judging Reference Manual states: "Only one top will be fully judged, except as outlined in the various NCRS Technical Information Manuals & Judging Guides, where a car is being judged with an auxiliary hardtop and provisions for soft top attachment, but no soft top exists in the stowage compartment. Deductions, as outlined in the manuals, will be made for this situation."

Page 93, Item 20, Top, of the '68-'69 Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide states: "Only one top is judged, even if two are installed. On the judging field, convertibles not displayed with auxiliary hardtop must have the soft top raised. Convertibles with hardtops must have soft top and bows present, unless the car is an auxiliary-hardtop only car, and those must be documented as such."

As Terry said, the Judging Chairman, addressed this issue and it's requirements in the Restorer magazine. What were those comments, changes, enhancements, or clarifications, and are they archived here anywhere? FWIW, if they're not, should they be?
          Thanks,
          Rich K.

              David King,
Thank you VERY MUCH for leading me to the flight judging change. It was in the Judging Chairman, Dave Brigham's column in the Winter 2020 Restorer magazine.
In the article Dave said that "changes to our Flight Judging System are printed in bold italics"
              Those changes, in italics, are:
"If the soft top is missing, the judge shall deduct 50% of Originality on the single line item for the hard top".
"It is not necessary for the owner to bring the hard top to the meet where his/her PV will be performed".
This information will be helpful to me, and, hopefully, others who will be having their convertible judged.
              Thanks,
              Rich K.
