1968 brake switch setup

Good morning , I was told that the configuration of the brake switch is wrong. Wires should be up top at connector not tapped on.

I did find years ago a nos piece at the top.

I was just curious who told you it was wrong. The 68 brake switch is unique and not reproduced that I have found. You show one switch with and one without the radio capacitor, so one is correct for a non radio car and one is correctly added on to the switch when the U69 option radio was added. See your AIM section U69 (usually page 398 in most copies) view A and you can see part number 3927320 commonly called a scotch lock wire connector adding the capacitor to the brake switch wiring.

The one on ebay looks correct and not a bad price for a one year only item. The ebay one also shows the capacitor bracket partially installed, I would connect the second hole of the strap thru the screw to hold the capacitor in place to the bracket.
