It doesn't look like there is an option to download AMA material from the GM Heritage site any longer?

Re: GM heritage site / AMA
What is "AMA" material? Are you referring to the Corvette spec manuals? Try this ---- https://web.archive.org/web/20160828...tion-kits.htmlLast edited by Ed S.; October 6, 2022, 03:33 PM.Ed- Top

Re: GM heritage site / AMA
I would encourage every Corvette owner to download a copy of the relevant spec manual for their car. Have no idea how long these will be available. I would like to see the entire set saved and posted to a folder in the Tech Forum sticky file - for future reference.Ed- Top

Ed, Great find.
The only problem is that our download limit size is 2.86 MB. Many of the files exceed that limit.
If someone could download them for all years, reduce sizes to fit, and if possible create OCR versions to even make them searchable, I'd be happy to add them to the DORD Sticky.

Re: GM heritage site / AMA
For anyone interested, GM announced last week they will be shutting down the current Heritage site and moving to a much larger facility they own in Grande Blanc (near Flint,MI). Plans call for expanding to a much larger display of their car collection etc..- Top

Re: GM heritage site / AMA
That should serve as motivation to download and save all those spec manuals. I have all the C2s editions. I encourage others to save the remainder. We can figure out how to archive them for our own purposes later - the important thing is to capture them while they are still available.Ed- Top

Here are all the ones I downloaded from 1953 thru 1972 that were below the TDB 2.86MB upload limit...
'63 thru '66; as well as '69 thru '72 are all larger than that - and I suspect that will be the case for '73 thru 2006.
Also, unfortunately when you click on the 1968 link, it says "file not found on server"...sorry '68 folks
Note that there are blank pages in most all of these, but even eliminating them does not change file size appreciably.
Also, using Nitro Pro pdf software, trying to optimize these files did not reduce overall file size (they are all images, not real text)
Unfortunately, OCR attempts were a disaster (at least on my machine). Skewed sheets and poor reproduction of text doesn't help.
Rich, I can email you a WeTransfer link for all that I have so far if you want me to.
Maybe I can get to the others, too if you want them all sent to you as downloaded from their site...
Just let me know (I already have your email addresses on my end).Attached Files- 1953-Chevrolet-Corvette.pdf (727.8 KB, 4 views)

Re: GM heritage site / AMA
Maybe I didn't explain myself clearly, but I'm able to download that file, too.
But, it's much larger than the 2.86MB upload limit for this TDB site.thx,

Re: GM heritage site / AMA
I downloaded the '67 specifications manual and it looks like a old scan of a photocopy that was copied various times.
Are there versions of these manuals that aren't so cruddy? The small print can be hard to read.
Does anyone have a better quality original that could be scanned? Or were the originals lost?- Top

Re: GM heritage site / AMA
My experience is that they are all like that - copies of copies of copies then scanned and saved as PDFs. This is about as good as it gets. If you increase the size of the PDF - the image size, by clicking on the + sign that will enlarge the page so if there is a section or a line that you can't easily read you can magnify it quite easily. Most of these are 100 + pages, so printing is not a great idea. Good work guys - thanks again.Ed- Top
