    C1 Differential Parts

I am looking for a differential bearing cap and bearing adjusting nut for a 57 corvette. I believe all 56 to 62 are the same as well as all full size Chevy. Please see photo. Do anyone know of a source?

not sure, but i believe the caps were installed on the differential main housing, then align bored, THEN the threads were cut in the housing and cap. if u find another cap, if they are like engine main bearing caps which are changed from another engine requiring align boring of the new bearing cap, then i suspect that your replacement bearing cap may not fit the old housing. you may well be better off buying a complete 56-62 vet or 55-64 chevypass car differential. what ratio are you wanting? mike mccagh

Mike is Correct. I have attempted this in the past. The cap is mated to the housing. The threads are cut as an assembly and no 2 are the same.

You will need a new case.

Thanks for the reply. I currently have 3.7 ratio and I like it. Any suggestion on where to buy a new one?
